Research Assistant, CRH, Closing 22 Jul 25

The post-holder will assist at the following stages of the research pipeline: biosample collection, scheduling appointments, supervision of children undergoing brain MRI, collection of neurodevelopmental and cognitive outcome data at 5 and 7 years, and data entry. The study is funded by the charity Theirworld and the UKRI Medical Research Council.

The Opportunity:

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.  

The salary for this post is £34,132 to £39,355 per annum.

Your skills and attributes for success: 

  • Honours degree (upper second or better), or equivalent in Psychology or other related quantitative discipline.
  • Masters degree in psychology, neuroscience or similar subject.
  • Experience with clinical research databases
  • Experience in paediatric MRI data acquisition and or analysis
  • Experience taking part in paediatric research studies

Grade UE06: £34,132 to £39,355 per annum, pro-rata if part time 

CMVM / Edinburgh Medical School / Deanery of Clinical Sciences 

Full-time: 35 hours per week 

Fixed term: 36 months
