principal of nano-indentation infographic: stiff vs. sticky sample

Chiaro is a nano-indentation module mounted on a Nikon Ti2.  It is used to measure the visco-elastic properties of samples.  It works by bringing a thin probe, mounted on a cantilever, to the sample.  As the probe touches the sample, deformation of the cantilever is recorded with a laser.  Chiaro derives stiffness, stickiness, and plasticity of the sample.
