IRR welcomes new MSc by research students

13 November 2019

We are delighted to welcome a new cohort of MSc by research students to the Institute for 2019 / 2020.

The MSc by Research in Regenerative Medicine and Tissue Repair is a one-year, full-time, on-campus MSc by Research programme structured around two laboratory-based research projects.

We are very excited to welcome our new cohort of students to the Institute. It is great to see that they are already fully integrated into the laboratories of their first research projects, and I am looking forward to the poster day in March when they will share their findings.

The students are based at the MRC Centre for Regenerative Medicine or collaborating centres and will be taught by group leaders who work on topics ranging from fundamental stem cell and regenerative biology research to the understanding of disease mechanisms and therapeutic strategies.

The programme covers a range of research topics and essential skills, including critical analysis of research papers, data interpretation and presentation, writing a research project proposal, and statistical analysis. The students will also be exposed to and encouraged to contribute to the Institute’s drive to translate this knowledge into clinically relevant applications.
