Data management Microscopes can easily create very large datasets. We kindly ask users to back up their data on their lab’s cloud space as the facility will not be held responsible for lost data. We provide a buffer server to which you send your data at the end of your session and from which you back up. The facility routinely deletes old files without warning. Image analysis Images are more than pretty pictures; they also contain data that can be extracted and analysed. Our Facility has several powerful workstations. All run generic image analysis freeware. Fiji Ilastik CellProfiler Icy QPath These are normally enough for most image sets. If you don’t know how to use these freeware, we regularly run an online course for beginners.
