The Opportunity:

The University of Edinburgh is seeking an exceptional clinical academic to join our Centre for Reproductive Health (CRH) within the Institute of Regeneration and Repair as a Senior Clinical Lecturer in Obstetrics. You will work alongside world-class researchers and clinicians, undertake exciting, cutting-edge research, and carry out clinical duties as an Honorary Consultant within NHS Lothian.

This post is full-time (40 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

The salary for this post is £96,963 to £128,841 per annum.

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Be eligible for inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register
  • Hold a higher degree by research (PhD or MD equivalent)
  • Have a major research interest that fits within the Centre of Reproductive Health and experience of leading a research group of size and complexity appropriate to subject area and of winning competitively awarded external funding.
  • Proven ability to develop and sustain research programmes leading to international excellence and to provide leadership within and across research themes with the aim of enhancing collaborations with other departments and external organisations. 
  • A strong track record of first author and collaborative publications in high quality journals and international conferences, demonstrating an international research reputation and profile.

Grade AMN3: £96,963 to £128,841 per annum, pro rata if part time
