CRH Seminar - Vinita Marwaha Madill Speaker:Vinita Marwaha Madill, Founder, Rocket Women, Space Operations EngineerTitle:Making Space For Everyone - From Spacesuit Design to the Future of Deep Space Healthcare.Short bio:Vinita Marwaha Madill is an advocate for women in STEM, space engineer and Founder of the award-winning global Rocket Women platform. Rocket Women inspires women to choose a career in STEM alongside providing a scholarship for women in STEM. Passionate about human spaceflight, Vinita leads lunar exploration projects at Mission Control in Canada. Based at the European Space Agency (ESA) (via TERMA B.V.) Vinita worked on human spaceflight projects as a Space Operations Engineer, mainly for the European Robotic Arm. At ESA's European Astronaut Centre, Vinita helped design the Skin Suit, a new spacesuit worn by astronauts onboard the ISS, and recently developed a concept inclusive lunar spacesuit, supported by Morgan Stanley and CNN, designed to include female astronauts. Vinita received the King's Distinguished Alumni STEM award in 2023 from King's College London for driving impact and transformation in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
